| Description | Christian Gingras is a Québec City–based sports photographer who specializes in capturing the intensity and emotion of athletic competition. He is best known for his work covering the baseball seasons of the Québec Capitales (Frontier League) and the Diamants de Québec (Québec Junior Elite Baseball League), where he documents the game from field level with both precision and creativity. During the winter, he shifts focus to the uniquely Québecois sport of ice canoe racing, braving the elements to photograph this dramatic and physically demanding event on the St. Lawrence River. In addition to baseball and ice canoeing, Christian has also covered a wide range of sports over the years, including university athletics with Laval University’s Rouge et Or, as well as hockey. He has photographed major motorsports events such as the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières (GP3R), IMSA endurance racing, and NASCAR.
